It is a bibliography summarizing some important works on GIS and health, including three major themes–GIS-based visualization of health information, GIS-derived measures for health research, and GIS-enabled analysis for health research.

A new paper “Impact of Coastal Hazards on Residents’ Spatial Accessibility to Health Services” is just published online in Journal of Infrastructure Systems. This interdisciplinary work examines how coastal hazards such as flooding could affect residents’ spatial accessibility to health services in Houston, Texas.
